Unhappy Electrical system dead..?

Hi,
Today, driving along in my BMW 530i E34 (1994) when suddenly everything went off! Engine, electrical system, power steering, stereo. The only things that work are the hazard lights and the central locking! The car is completely dead in every other respect. Turning the key in the ignition - NOTHING. Not a blink or glimmer!
Any ideas?!

Maybe your alternator stopped working and that was all your battery had. Did every thing start to dim or slow down. Was ot a gradual loss of power?

I would suggest that you check your fusible link near the battery and the actual battery connections as well.

No offense taken at all. I always a thought trunk was a large suitcase - but I guess you think a boot is a heavy duty shoe.
And of course I think a hood is a hat that wraps around the back of your head and your ears (to keep them warm out of the wind) and you think a bonnet is a country lady's hat!!

Sure does! More noticable in sinks and basins. Also you think braces hold buildings together while we think they hold up trousers/pants/strides. We think suspenders are worn by strippers to hold up stockings - You think they hold up trousers/pants/strides. I'm enjoying this..
