Z3 seat back stuck

Hi all

I have a 1999 Z3 and the seat back will not adjust on the drivers side. I have pulled the leaver but to no avail.

I think the cable has broke to release the seat back and be able to adjust the rake.

is this right? how do i replace the cable? where is the best place to get the cable from?

Go to RealOEM.com and enter the last 7 of your VIN. Browse to Seat, and look at the exploded view of the front seat frame. For my 1997 it looks like the seat back is adjusted by item 4, Adjuster unit, part no. 52108398491, 2 required, typical price of $170 each.

For an actual price, go to BMW of South Atlanta at http://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com and enter that part number. They are $168.77 each. There may be cheaper sources, but it will take more work to find them.
