pls help with full size e92 spare
I will soon have enough cash to replace my stock wheels with stock rft's with Michelin PSS on these wheels. I am thinking of using one of my old stock wheels as a fullsize spare. Will also buy some cheap non rft for this spare so I dont mix match rft/non rft. SInce our cars are staggered which wheel should I use as the temp spare ? (front one or back one ?). I know there are many spare wheel and tire kits available and I am guessing they are some in between size that will fit both front and back in case of a flat, so I should be able to use one of the smaller of my front and back stock wheels right ? Which one ? Pls advise. thanks

ok. I think i got it now. Will use front. Now all I need to do is find some nice cargo net / cover and tie it down in the trunk so it does not flop around. thanks

Use the front. A front wheel will fit on the rear, but a rear wheel won't fit up front.

i know this isn't the question that you asked for but a compact spare will serve you better in terms of space. When i take long trips where the trunk must be packed full with luggage, i wrap the compact spare in a blanket and stow it in one of the rear foot wells. It fits perfect. I know you want to use one of your wheels but that normal size front will not allow much rlse to be loaded around it. Enjoy your new wheels and tires none the less.

If trunk space is valuable, a compact spare will offer much more room. Keep in mind the compact spares are usually only good for about a 50 mile range. This may or may not do you any good depending on your location. When I'm driving from Phoenix to LA, an additional 50 miles would be useless, so I carry a spare front.

I went with Michelin Pilot Super Sports and bought the M Mobility Kit. I need trunk space for golf clubs, etc.
