leased warranty???

i know this may sound dumb but better to get opinions than not. My 335xi was a leased vehicle prior to me buying it. After buying the car my warranty expires sometime this year or when the car hits 50k miles, currently the car has 46490 miles. I was thinking that since it was leased before shouldn't i automatically get an addtional 50k mile warranty on the car without having to purchase the extended warranty?

Ah, no. All you get is the balance of the original 4yr/50k warranty. Unless the car has a CPO extended warranty. Has nothing to do with whether or not the car was purchased or leased.

I just bought a 209 328i wagon with 36k miles. It has 14k miles and 7.5 months in warranty left on it. Today I took it to dealer to have the comfort access module replaced and it was under warranty. But beside that you can buy 2 more years with 50k extra at a cost.
