1996 BMW Z3 windscreen installation help
Hey all, just got my windscreen from Bavauto... It showed up without the installation instructions. Have been searching for the install instructions online but have been unsuccessful... Does anyone know where I can find it online, maybe in PDF format? This is the OEM accessory part number.... Ummmmm... 0902 0040 102 ?

Here's a pdf copy of installation instructions for a Type 2 Z3 windscreen if that's what you are looking for. It was actually on Bavauto's website under tech info and "Convertible Windscreen - Z3."

Hey, a belated thank-you for posting that doc. I'm helping my neighbor with a 96 installation with that install. He was going to take it to the dealer, but between the both of us, along with those instructions, I figure, we can get the job done. I've seen these windscreens for sale on Ebay (that's where my neighbor got his), usually starting around $250. Plus, it seems like they come from Germany, so there's extra shipping costs involved. I'm budgeting an afternoon and two beers to get the job done.
For those who don't want to go through this installation, I see there's a z3 windscreen that wraps around the seats, for $188. I have a z3 wind deflector from this same company, the roll hoop version, about $90. I got mine from this company since it had a 30 day return period and lifetime warranty. |
