I just bought my Axxis Deluxe Advanced Ceramic Brake Pads for my 645 here --> www. buybrakes .com/axxis/apps-BMW.html[/url]
Took a while to get them, as they shipped from California, but well worth the wait.

For the record, we're trying to figure out what friction grades are recommended for our E39 vehicles over here:
- What is the friction grade for the most recommended E39 brake pads (e.g., EE, FF, EF)

Maybe, as suggested in that thread, another call to Louis is in order!

I am not sure if they are the same as Ultimates as they have changed formulations through the various name changes i.e. Repco, Axxis, PBR etc.

It might be time for another call to Luis

Based on this post today, it seems the E46 team hasn't yet figured out yet the difference between Axxis and PBR pads.

Could they be the same brand?

A somewhat related thread was opened recently where it was asked:

If you more information about who makes "Centric & StopTech" pads, please enter it here so that others benefit.

EDIT: Found this for stoptech and this, for centric, but they're both from marketing people, so, it's not going to be all that useful.
