Inpa

Hello,

first of all; im a bmw fanatic. I love BMW cars since the day i was born! Finally after my license, i got myself a nice BMW E39 523i (my dream: E39 M5).

I hope some people are familiar here with the software called INPA. I recently got it working, but it doesn't show me any options at all. Only "Information" and "Scripts". It says Battery = On and Ignition = On (wich is correct, also tested when my car ignition was off, and worked.) but further nothing?

I wish to read error's and erase them (mainly just read them, so i can replace broken things).

Does anyone had this similar problem? I got INPA 5.02 with all those extra software like EDIABASS etc..

Using a BMW 20-pin to OBDII and OBDII to usb (if im right, about the OBDII part , its a D+K CAN serial cable).

Please help!

I would torrent windows xp and dual boot system to use it. It is really annoying to get it working but have you edited the registry? Also What COM port are you using? Did you put OBD.INI in windows and edit it to correct COM port?

Hello,

thanks for the fast reply! Im using Windows 7, and i do think i will delete it and just install Windows XP since INPA is a pretty old software, it works way better on Windows XP then Windows 7.

I use the port COM4, i downloaded the BMW Standard Tool (wich includes these software packages), en installed it on COM4.

I made no changes at all, after the installation. It was a simple install and run.

So i did not edit the registry nor did i edit OBD.ini.
