All BMWs 48.1 vs. 48.2 PSdZData CAFD Changes

FYI. The difference from 48.1 to 48.2 for the CAFD folder only is 3 added:

Left base folder: C:\Users\SS09546.IT\Desktop\48.1_SPdZData
Right base folder: C:\Users\SS09546.IT\Desktop\48.2_SPdZData

So this wont need the other files updates like the .JAR files? Adding these 3 cafd will get you updated to 48.2?

Why, are you getting a [C012] Missing CAFD error?

There are many other differences, but mostly to the flash files (swfl), which should not impact coding.

This File is not included in 48.2 , it`s a part of 48.3!

The dealer reprogrammed my F10 this week and E-SYS reads the integration step as F010-12-11-503. The previous was F010-11-09-503. I used the 48.2 files to re-code and they worked. It appears the dealer did not use the latest 48.3 integration level. Does that sound correct?

How do you know he did not use 48.3? While I do know F010-12-11-503 is 48.2, what I don't know yet is is if 48.3 got a new Integration Level, or if it stayed at F010-12-11-503, the latter of which is likely. So, the bottom line is you have no way of knowing whether you got programmed with 48.2 or 48.3 without seeing the actual ISTA/P Final Report.

I thought that both would change. I asked for, but did not receive the ISTA/P Final Report. Thanks for the clarification.

No, not always, unless a module got new firmware I don't thinks. For example:

ISTA/P 2.47.5 F010-12-07-533
ISTA/P 2.47.6 F010-12-07-533
ISTA/P 2.47.7 F010-12-07-533

So, it often does not change.

Just to confirm, I now have the 48.3 PSdZData, and the F10 Integration Level is in fact unchanged, and is still F010-12-11-503.

Maybe. In theory if your car has 48.3, you would want and need 48.3 PSdZData; however, since the I-Level for F10 went unchanged, 48.2 PSdZdata will likely still work fine on a car programmed with 48.3. Now for F20/F30 with 48.3 on it, I think you will need 48.3 PSdZData because the I-Level went from F020-12-11-504 to F020-12-11-505.

But an F10 with 48.3 on it an 48.1 PSdZData will also likely need new 48.3 PSdZData, as 48.1 went from F010-12-11-502 to F010-12-11-503 when 48.2 was released.
