i had found out the last map put to the car was another adjusted map as my chip man said it was not gunna be the software well it was altho a lot slower n less responsive but have got 5th again , thinking of a shark plug in or do you think that could do the same ?

less responsive comparing to stock or do YOU feel it less responsive? (since u had it mapped earlier)
my thoughts would be to try it with another 323 and check how u guys stand. since u have aftermarket catless headers you should beat it with ease. if not, get the correct software for it (not adjusted or anything, pure stock software) and try again. once she's back on her feet then get it sharked. no point of patching a flaw, fix it and move on.
