No Production number with 111 status?

Finally found an allocation for an M5 summer Euro delivery and the dealer forwarded me the email from BMWNA acknowledging the European Delivery order, and although it does not state it in the email, CA tells me that it has a 111 order status and that I will not get a Production number until it enters 112 status. Is that right, or do I need to insist now on a prod #? Last ED I did the CA confirmed with a Prod #, not sure what was the status at the time. Thank you.

If it's in 111, there's a production #. You need a production # first before you can even send a pre-res to ED for a p/u date. Rubbish about the it needing to be in 112.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. Something did not seem right...

Scheduled for May ED and got a February allocations from my dealer. I already have the production # and my SA gave me a copy of the Vehicle Inquiry Form. I was also informed that my production date was moved to May, inline with my submitted preferred delivery date of 24th of May. The form has my name and my order with options. You can ask your dealer for this form.
