Go to this link and download your service/warranty book. On the 45th page it says the fuel expansion tank w/carbon canister is covered for 7 years/70,000 miles. Thats the part they replaced on my car when I had the same problem, only for me it was worse it clicked of every .2 gallons.

I have noticed in the morning that due or water will sit right at the base of the opening for fuel.

I told them that my friend had the same problem and his was covered..
they said it's not, they already did the work and want me to pay 1025.00 to pick it up, what other avenues can I go down to have this cleared??

Did you authorize them to do the work on that car? They cannot just do work without your authorization and then tell you to pay. If you brought the car in with the understanding that it would be covered under warranty, the most they can make you pay is for diagnostics.

Just make sure you record calls or sent them something in writing saying that you did not authorize the charges. Legally they cannot charge you storage fees if they are trying to make you pay for something you did not authorize. What kind of car is it? You can probably go to small claims court if the value of the car is not past the limitations of small claims in your state.

I would just go get my car and there would be a physical altercation but most people wont do that.... the cops would definitely come then.
