Engine oil capacity
It really frosts my a$$ that BMW has decided not to disclose the engine oil capacity in the owner's manual. It advises that oil changes should only be done at the dealer. WTF?
Anyway, what is the oil capacity with a new filter? IIRC, my E46 was ~7 qts.

change yourself or independent service centre
1/2 the price It takes 5.5 litre Full synthetic oil like Mobil 1 Shell Helix Ultra Extra etc. will do the job
