Hi: Anybody? I just joined this forum and glad I found it. I have a 98 M3 convertible with 36k miles and I liked it so much that I bought an 08 535xi wagon. The wagon needs tires and I have 225-55-17's on it now and i have a chance to buy 225-50-17 almost new Michelins for $300. Should I put the smaller profiles on it?

I think you'll be alright since you're only reducing the sidewall size by the next size down. However, you may feel the road a little more and therefore make your ride quality "less cushiony."

Your ride will just be a little bit rougher than with the 55's. Not that much though. And Michelins are good tires. Sounds worth it in my opinion. |
