Extended warranty package

i can't exactly remember on this forum where i read it but someone posted a thread about they went to a different bmw dealer and got a cheaper extended warranty package? Is that really possible to do? and IF so, does anyone know the names of any?

Since I don't know what you were pm'd, thought I'd let you and everyone else who is interested know that Pacific BMW sells OEM BMW extended warranties at a couple hundred over cost for online customers. I paid $650 under MSRP for my extended warranty. Hope I am allowed to provide that info without pm'ing it. I have no affiliation with Pacific BMW.

Oh well just passed on the info. - who to contact and from whom I got the warranty for how much. I tried Pacific BMW but Carchex offered lower rates but then again it depends on who you talk to

I found my old post from another forum that provides a little more info. See below.

"Contact Daniel Dutton at Pacific BMW. He sells OEM BMW extended warranties at a discounted price. Since I am retired and don't put the miles on my car, I bought the 7YR/70K platinum for my 2009 335i coupe with 28,000 miles. I am covered until April of 2016. I went with the platinum version to cover my premium package electronics. I Paid $2850. The BMW list price is $3500. Other YR/M combinations were discounted similarly. As a side note, I picked up on an 18 month 0% interest credit card to pay for the warranty. Makes it easy, I am paying $160 a month for the extended warranty."

Yep, that's the guy I spoke with but he said he won't be able to match the quote I had from Carchex. I think these just depend on person you talk to and their margins for that month..

Interesting. Is Carchex quoting BMW OEM extended warranty? If not, that might explain it. I wanted to go BMW OEM. May not be necessary, but that is what I wanted.

with the carcheck warranty can you take the car to a bmw dealership to have work done to it or it has to be a specific mechanic?

I can confirm once again like many others on the forum that I got the best deal after shopping around and making many phone calls that Daniel Dutton at Pacific BMW in glendale, CA offers the best no nonsense service and pricing for the BMW OEM extended warranties. I got a price which was at least $1000 less than the next best quote after trying at least 15 dealerships and I was in and out of the dealership in minutes. I rarely take the time to write a review of a purchasing experience, but wanted to share to help anyone on the forum shopping around for an extended warranty. It was cheaper than a similar safeguard aftermarket warranty as well.

Ok,The secrets out,Pacific BMW...Anyone know of a deal I can get on the eastcoast as far as extended warranty,In NY I get my car serviced at BMW in Huntington long Island,never Bayshore again, and in NC I get it serviced at Leith BMW,my warranty is still active but I would like to know anything that could help me save some greenbacks,thanks.

Pacific can probably sell to you too. I think they just need a key read.

You can either send Daniel your 2nd FOB or have your dealer read the key and send send Daniel the printout. Give Daniel a call. He will tell what he needs. He has special online prices for OEM warranties. Doesn't matter where you live.

If you bought this prior to 4 yr/50k miles what happens to the extended warranty if the car is totaled? Do you lose it?

Check your contract terms. Some policies allow for cancellation with a prorated refund.
