Change deg C to deg F on a 2002 X5

Just had the oil changed by a mechanic who didn't know how to reset the oil gauge board display. I tried to do it myself following some instructions posted on the Internet. It didn't work. Instead, the outdoor and indoor temperature displays changed from deg. F to deg. C. Never managed to switch back to deg. F. Does anyone know how to do it?

Not sure... .but, when you use the stalk to get to the temperature on the OBC, try toggling the little knob sticking out of the instrument panel to the left or right...

I don't have an X5, but on my E46 there are two knobs sticking out of the gauge panel.. the left one you push to reset the trip odometer, and the one on the right you turn left or right (to update the clock, etc).. I think if your car works the same way, when you are showing the outside temperature, you can turn left or right to change from C to F..

Unless, I'm wrong... ;-)
