E39 1997 528i - Transmission issues

Greetings,
I am selling my first BMW. I love this car, but I can afford to put a new transmission in it. I bought it in August 2012, I have only put about 3,000 miles on it and I have over $3000 in receipts since I've owned it.

• Tinted glass

Services and repairs that I have had done:

• Transmission, differential, coolant, and brake fluid flush
• Replaced Vanos oil line
• New air intake boot and new OEM air filter
• New blower motor resister (also known as "final stage unit")
• New mass air flow sensor
• New coolant reservoir
• New Behr fan clutch
• New ceramic brake pads, rotors, and parking brake pads
• New wiper blades ($65 value)
• New radio MID ribbon cable

The transmission is failing and will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The car will still drive, but this is not recommended. A remanufactured torque converter is included and has not been installed. The body is in great condition, has lots of tread on the tires. This is an excellent car to fix up and keep for yourself or resell for a profit. I can arrange to have the car towed up to 100 miles from my house at no cost to you. I am located in Edmonds, Washington. I am asking $3000.
