1995 740IL door lock actuator
Can anyone help me. I have a new drivers door lock actuator that goes on top off the door latch. Do I have to remove the whole latch unit to replace the electrical lock unit or can it be done in the door panel. Any help would be Great .

Usually depends on your skill level, patience and hydraulically operated fingers. Have not none E38 (yet) but on my other BM's lock was left in.

Lube the lock with WD40 or similar on your way out.
