What model of BMW, does the key fob plug into the dash? As they should recharge when plugged in.
It would be a bit strange for them not to come apart to allow battery change? |

try tapping(finger flick) on the fob itself while holding it in hand...sometimes that helps and it works...your batt is recharging everytime your car is running so thats why they dont come apart
on mine the unlock wasn't functioning...opened it up and microswitch was broken off...had to re-soldered it back on the board and voi'la ![]() and there is microswitch that broken off

I have an 06 750i. the key fob was working fine. now sometimes it does and others it doesn't. Could it be the battery and if so, can it be replaced ?!

It's probably the button, do you get a low battery warning when you plug the key into the car?
