Yeah I think I told you when you asked me to compare my W212 bluetec to my F10 sport (gone now). The F10 rode way smoother than the Bluetec on 17s. The F10 comfort does decline on long highway runs... too bouncy.

I am about to buy it today,is tthis a cast iron engine or an aluminum engine,do you know?

There is a thread with video somewhere on here showing a motorized retractable front plate. If I had to have one, i'd look into getting it!

I hated to hear it, but now know how right you are.

And I came from a W212 with the Sport suspension. Absolutely horrific suspension characteristics on that car: One part floaty on turns, one part very harsh and crude on rough patches and bumps. What it did amazingly was ride on a smooth surface in a straight line (of course considering how you'd expect a Mercedes Sedan to drive: Cushy, soft, yet not sea-sick -esque like a typical Lexus). Unfortunately, those are too few and far between where I am.

I'm so glad I don't know a lot about cars lol. I dont ever notice the problems most car enthusiasts do. I just like a nice smooth ride that is relatively quick car and nice interior oh and of course looks hot in black.

I test drove the E350 sport a while back, and you are spot on K-A, the suspension was either sporty or comfortable. In my opinion, Mercedes's suspension design is about 5 years behind BMW's.

What size are your black wheels (front and back)?

K-A, where did you pick up your painted reflectors and spoiler, jbspeed?

I agree. It's remarkable just how much this cars suspension characteristics do EVERYTHING better than the E-Classes, both in elements relating to comfort and sportiness. I'm sure a lot of that must have to do with chassis as well, this cars chassis just seems stronger, though I'll check back in on that statement to ensure it's truly fair when my Bimmer gets as many miles on the clock as my E's had.

They look great!

Actually just got them wrapped with 3M Gloss Black wrap when I was getting my windows tinted. Much easier and cheaper than getting black reflectors which have to be installed.

Decboy: I took it to a Car Wash (to their Detailer Unit), forgot the name but I can get it.

They did a GREAT job at making it look brilliantly shiny, as it should, but the buffing motion they did shows some hazy-hologram effect when direct sunlight is beaming onto the car. I got recommended some good names for Detailers out here, and will find the names and pass them over to you.

I'm really happy with how shiny and clean my car looks in ALL lights EXCEPT for direct sunlight (beaming onto the car) as that's the only time I can see the kind of muted swirly "buffing motion" hologram effect mostly around the lower-middle portion of my doors.

KA - only a problem in direct sunlight? Shouldn't be an issue in SoCal....

I made a similar move going from the 2011 E350 4matic (actually still have it for another couple of weeks) to the 2013 535ix with the Msport package (went with white).

Thanks man! I used a Nikon, not sure the model number but I'll let you know. Definitely a nicer outcome than my initial pics off my Phone.

You will LOVE the F10 coming out of an E-Class. Looks like a lot of us our doing it indeed.

I'm infatuated with the look in black, but kinda wish I had the ease of white as well. Oh well, a give and take.

For me I like the variety ... I do 2 year leases so every 2 years I get something different.

Last time it was the E350, this time a 535 ... next time ... we will see ... I know one thing, as long as it is comfortable for me financially it will most likely be either a BMW, Mercedes or Audi ... they are all great

Beautiful car and a great choice of color, although I'm somewhat prejudiced in favor of black. There's nothing more beautiful, especially at night. And I'm glad to see you've come over from the "Dark Side." I've been wondering where you disappeared to from the MB forum. I think you made a great choice and hope you enjoy it. I would also like to know the model of your Nikon. Photos are beautiful.
