Rear Wiper/Washer issue
My rear wiper/washer has stopped working. I have checked the glove fuse box...all good. Is there a relay for this operation. This is my first BMW and I am trying to educate myself as best as possible considering the local mechanic gets 125 an hour. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The wiring insulation tends to crack over time (where it passes from the body to the rear door) causing intermittent shorts and other problems. Have you checked the fuse ?

fuse
Thanks for your reply Bob.....funny thing is I always check the fuses first thing in cases like this but when I looked at the glove box fuses and the corresponding list, there was NO rear wiper/washer listed, hence, I was thinking relay or something else.

There`s often more than one fuse box....check on the X3 Forum for more info.

I've checked both the glove box, and rear access panel... all fuses pertaining to wipers and washers are fine. of course our dealership says change the motor but, I know the motor is fine.

Any suggestions or the details schematics of how the rear washer for wiper works ( not the wiper but only the washer) and has the water supply line. E39 iT: the rear wiper works fine, but the washer no longer has any water coming out. Where is the fluid container for the rear?
