What!!! I can't get the colors I got???
Quote:
Sorry about the quality. I took them with my cellphone camera at 17:15. The quality is not the greatest, but you can see the colors of the interior and the exterior. If you need more to be satisfied, just let me know. Cheers! |

Sun visors, I wish they extended. They allow too much sun around the rear view mirror. My 7-series had the area around mirror darken. I am thinking about getting the upper edge of the windshield tinted.
My other compliant (and it's common) the outside rearview mirrors don't seem to darken at night. I think it's due to the heavy tint on the rear glass. I have positioned my inside rearview mirror all different ways and the outside mirros still don't darken as much as my 7-series. It hasn't been much of a problem since we sit up higher.

I miss the "mute" steering wheel button to quickly silence the radio. It had a nice way of fading the volume off and ramping it on. If there's a mute function on the X3, I'm missing it. Now I have to just hold the (-) volume down button until it's quiet.

A few annoyances with 2012 X3
When in the auto mode, headlights might come on during bright sunny weather. I,ve read others have had the same issue.
When car is shut off, occassionally the wipers will move up a very short distance and then return to the normal position. Car pulls hard to the right on certain stretches of road and other times it's perfectly straight with no hands on the wheel. Kinda miffed that there is no battery charge indicator |

The wipers are working as designed. I'm told it's to prevent the blades from getting stuck to the windshield if they sit too long in the same position.
When I want to monitor my battery voltage I use one of these, plugged into the center console 12V socket. The rest of the time it sits in the storage cubby above my left knee. http://www.amazon.com/Equus-3721-Bat...dp/B000EVWDU0/ Last edited by 02420X3; 01-21-2013 at 07:11 PM. |

I like the MSport seats but I think they could have been designed a bit better in the side bolster adjustment area. I'm not a big guy at all (172 lb and 5'9"). The seats are comfortable with the side bolsters fully widened. Any adjustments narrower can become uncomfortable. In fact, I'm surprised just how tight you can make them. I have a couple of friends who are big and on the wide side, who ride shotgun when we go out with the wives. I can imagine that if I'm comfortable with them open all the way that they might feel pinched. Bottom line is that the range should be shifted (IMO) to not be so tight on one extreme and open up wide on the other. However, I do like them.

After a few weeks in the cold, I agree with a previous post(s) -- not liking the placement of the heat steering wheel button. Can't tell if I've clicked it. My other car gives me a digital announcement of the status of the steering wheel and also when I turn it on (and off and on again since I can't remember!). Also find the mpg needle a little distracting and redundant. If I accelerate with intent or go up a hill, of course the mpgs are going to go down. Likewise, if I ease up on the gas the needle expectantly goes up the mpg tree.
All minor complaints though. Still loving the car. |
