BMW X4 relese date??

Does anyone know when the X4 is going to hit the showrooms, some detailed info on this new BMW SUV would be appreciated. Thanks

I found some interesting info about the X4 here http://forconsumers.blogspot.com/201...-released.html but I am not sure if this is confirmed, it doesn't look like official info to me. Few other sites also claim the official release date will be by the end of 2013.

What do you mean by 'sedan', BMW X4 is going to be an SUV and no SUV sedans are available in the automotive world.

I should have made myself more clear, and am probably mistaken.

I thought, apparently incorrectly, that the X4 was the new identifier for the new 3 series coupe.

It appears that I am incorrect, and thank the poster(s) for pointing out my error, as it appears that the X4 is a 4-door SUV/SAV with a sloping roof line similar to that of the X6.

This is what was announced at the Detroit Auto show this week. It isn't an X, rather a Series 3 Gran Tourismo (aka 5 door hatchback with high ground clearance). Naming aside, here's the press release:

The X4 is not in the 2013 production schedule. The X1 and X3 model year 2014 production started in March. I would guess the X4 will come out as a model year 2015 in April of 2014.
