Hello everyone. I've been trying to replace the two post cat O2 sensors.
I know where they are located but where is the connector for the two sensors? Does anyone have a DIY for the two post cat O2 sensors? BTW, mine is a 2001 530i. Thanks a bunch! Kevin |

Why do you change them? Did you get a post cat inneficiency code?
The post cat sensors should connect on the left side of the engine (driver's side) - opposite of the pre-cat sensors (mirrored, but on the other side of the engine). You will need to have the car jacked up safely on stands, then once the old ones are out, you will need to fish the electrical cable & connector with a string or a wire. You might want to observe the original routing.

You need to post this on the E60 forum.

The post cat O2 sensors are rarely replaced. Most folks just ignore them as their function is sort of useless. Put the money elsewhere.
