Unfortunately, the 97 different "Blacks" aren't even Black (hence, your quote, un-quote).

Carbon and Azurite are Blue and Citrin and Ruby are Brown.

Are there any other Individual "Blacks" to account for?

Not the best shots, but I'll try to replace with better after a wash, when sunny, when possible.

That's gorgeous.

I've only seen the Bronze Matte in the flesh. I'm definitely going to be looking that way in my next toy.

Thanks. I still wonder if those pics I found online of the 640i (above) were really Citrin but the camera was tending a little toward red. It still seemed browner to me than Ruby. Here's a twist. I stopped by my BMW dealer yesterday just "for fun", since I was off for ML King Day. The sales manager who I know from buying 3 BMW's there told me the "new" pricing for Individual paint was going to be $5500, rather than the stand-alone $1800. I explained that you don't need the full Individual composition when just ordering the paint colors (as opposed to the Individual ineriors), but he seemed to insist on this alternate pricing. I'll wait to see when the 2014's actually arrive and we see official pricing. If it is $5500, sorry, but out of my league . I've had 3 Black Sapphires and I'm also thinking of Imperial Blue for my next one (or the Citrin for $1800).

Some BMW Individual paints are $5,000; ones that haven't been produced in a while, are for different models, are matched to sample, are from different manufacturers, etc.

But I'm still not sure, as when you look at the close up of the rear 3/4, you see no yellow/gold, green or red/pink flake; only flakes in the red and brown family, which is very similar to the former 6 Series c-pillar shot I posted.

Whatever the case, the photos may not be acurate and Citrin looks Bronze in person, while Ruby looks Eggplant.

My guess is that this is the leather dash, ordered as a separate option since you can't combine the individual composition and the sport package.

I now know (recall) why this is happening:

The order guide uses options codes that are universal across the model lineup.

Such that the 7 Ind Comp Pack is coded "ZI1" and has the leather dash, it's showing up as the same code - with the same content - for the 5 Ind Comp Pack, albeit the 5 has fewer actual features, no matter what the order guide says.

Same happened in this thread, where the package for which "power" rear sunshades was to be a part of listed the 7's rear shades as being "manual" - when they were actually alwasy "power" - because the 5 Series had the same package, but with "manual" rear shades:

How does one get a list of these special $5K colors which BMW offers?

1. You have to be very serious about going the route, as dealers would be furious to order such a car, only for you to back out upon delivery.

2. Work with the most highly respected dealer that's been around for a long time in your area.

3. Work with the most experienced salesperson at said dealer, even if it means ditching your current salesperson.

Side note: Sales managers may purposely draw you away from the program (so they may mislead you, whether on availability or price), as it's not in their interest to order a car, only for you to back out upon delivery, as stated.

Otherwise, there's no set number of colors and any color is in the realm of possibility. You see something on an 80's BMW, no prob, on a new Porsche, no prob. Only thing I don't think they do is the Land Rover multi-colored Spectral ChromaFlair paint.

It does make a lot of sense - so most likely, they just used "copy & paste" when setting up the individual description on the F10.

Funny - that's the exact same car I posted the picture of before. Seems that there aren't too many F10s out there with individual composition.
