Alpine White E92 in Oyster or Saddle?
I know...I know....it's totally up to me, and everyone has his/her own opinion, but I'd like to see some realistic pictures of an Alpine White coupe with oyster interior and with saddle brown interior. I'm trying to decide between more or less contrast.
I would appreciate any responses with pictures!

Alpine white with saddle is probably my number one favorite along with AW and black with aluminum trim. My friend has oyster in his 07 and I hate it. Very, very boring and actually makes the interior look cheap IMO. I believe later on (maybe 09) more black accents were offered with the oyster, but it still doesn't do it for me.

AW with Oyster. Wow. I am trying to imagine.
Ok, I don't think it would look real good. In person the Oyster on an E9x is almost bone in color. I cannot think of a less attractive contrast with Alpine White. Saddle FTW. |

I prefer contrasts so AW with Saddle.

Thanks a ton for the responses. The configurator makes the saddle interior on the E92 very attractive, but of course it's always going to be more flattering than reality and you can't see it juxtaposed with the exterior. It must be unusual to want one of these colors on an AW E92. All the ones around here on lots are either cream beige or black.

Definitely Saddle with the AW E92.
It's not unusual at all to want something more distinctive than the usual black or beige. If you really want insight with regard to AW over Saddle, do a search on this subforum for posts made by RGZIMMER. He had an AW over Saddle E93. Unfortunately, the car got rearended. That incident however, has some really nice photos of how sharp Saddle looks with AW. The other option would be to do a google image search for AW over Saddle. When I was in the decision stage about SG over Saddle I did this and it helped seal the deal. Good luck!

I'm with Db750 on this one. Here's my black with aluminum trim just to give you something else to think about. I've seen saddle and AW. Classy.

Check the color threads at E90Post. They have virtually any combination you can think of.

Just remember you're the one that has to live with it day in day out for the next 4-8 years or so, not someone that made a recommendation on a message board. You simply have to see it in person and then decide, or at least look at some good pictures on the color threads TT posted. I changed my color choice after I stopped by a dealer in CA and they had something I had never seen before that I had never imagined would look so good based on just looking at the tiny swatches in the brochure.
That said, Alpine White looks great with coral read leather and gray poplar. |

If it were me, I'd go Alpine White/Saddle/Light Burl. I'm sure you'll love what you decide to get!

335i Driver you make some very valid points. One of the reasons I think it is wise though to ask on a message board is the inherent assumption that at some point, you will be selling the car, either to a dealership or a private sale. I think it can be valuable to get others' input for the fact that it gives you an idea of what other people may like, since those other people may eventually be potential customers.
That, and I like both the saddle and oyster interiors nearly equally so it may help push me in one direction or the other.

I have mineral white with saddle. I get compliments all the time on the saddle. Oyster looks very luxurious, but saddle looks classy. I think the color and sport/classy contrasts this combination gives (white/saddle) really work well for the e92. I have also seen oyster in person on a silver e92. It is really nice if you get the anthracite to go along with it, but it does seem to be the kind of color that would feel more at home in a 6 or 7 series.
Here is my car and what I'd say is a pretty fair match to what it looks like in real life.

That does look sharp! Thanks a ton for the picture.
I've pretty much decided on doing saddle brown. My final decision is between adding M Sport or not...

Seen em both but prefer the Oyster but be prepared to clean not just the seats but that light color carpet shows everything...Waste of time and energy for me but your car.

See we have oyster in our AW X1. This is what it looks like in there:
I don't think it looks bad by any means but I don't know how well it would flow. I also kinda like the idea of having our 3 AW BMWs, each with a different interior color. The 128 has savannah beige I believe is what it's called.

Man I wanted a '35 in the worst way but the HPFP issue really spooked me. No regrets though, the 328 has been fun so far.
