Engine question?????

OK, say ur stopped at the red light waitting for the light to change! The light changes and u floor it, the car responds properly but just after that good response the engine kinda like bogs down than picks up power again quickly. Is this common on 7's? IDK....
Maybe has something to do with traction control or maybe DCT.. ANY help would be gladly appreciated. Many thx in advance.

Don't have this issue, are you flooring it? Try better gas, I do notice difference between chevron and other brands. If that does not help second thing I would try before going to mech is fuel system treatment.

Have some one pull codes if any.

didn't think about the fuel....will try different gas and also add treatment. Will run engine diagnosis for any codes. And yes, im flooring the gas peddle when this happens. Thanks fellows

Idk what your fuel options are where you live but I use sunoco premium its a 93 octane and they make there own fuel thats the best you can get where im at

+1 for Chevron Premium. Better response and mileage in my '08 E66.

lol that aint fuel,.... if you floor it from a stop then its the traction control...... it will limit the engine.... turn on dts, or turn DSC off then try it.. if you hav same results with DSC off then its a different problem

its in settings. dtc at top of list. press once to get it "half off' if you want completely off then hold idrive buttom on DTC till dash blinks and says DSC off...

Thanks for the reply 7rage. That's exactly how the engine does. Like when I take off something limits the engine for a slight second than thrust .

yeah it happens.. little embarrassing when you forget to turn off dsc when taking off on someone...lol... just compensate.. like half throttlr to 5-10mph then punch it...

lol i love the feel of the pull in 2nd gear.... felt reeeeeeeeeeeal good when i first got it....
