Im trying to replace my fuel pressure regulator and can't get it to push all the way back into the hole so that i can instal the u clip. Can anyone help me

regardless, i think the point of the article that ed linked was that you should use some lube on the o-rings to aid in instaling the new fpr.
the article stated white litium grease, but i have used 90w gear oil as well. just a tiny bit, though. no need to go crazy with the lube. then even pressure until it seats. you do not want to kink or rip the seals. double check for leaks when done. where in nj are ya?? df
