iPhone 5 photo session this morning...

I am by no means a photographer and I don't even have a high speed camera aside from a simple Canon. But these are some of the shots I took with my iPhone this morning at Golden Gate National Cemetery in beautiful sunny San Bruno, CA.

Of course I attempted some minor editing that I'm sure the pros would laugh at. Anyway, I just thought I'd share a few...and yes, the wheels were not detailed!

With a Winter-grey film on my carbon black, I'm missing alpine white right about now.

Nice pics from the sunny Bay area! I almost bought our X5M in white but we have so many other white vehicles we changed up to CB (third car in CB though). Your truck looks great

We've had Santa Ana winds and 80*F in SoCal the last few days so the CB is filthy. I put the gloss black grills on yesterday but was too lazy to wash the X5 to take a picture I'd want to post. I've had the snow tire set-up on for a few days to break in the new Pirelli Scorpions but put the stock 20's back on last night. About 3 weeks to go before the truck heads to the cold and snow of NW Montana - it is 7*F there this morning

Thanks, I love the CB though too! Damn, Montana huh? At least you'll be in a vehicle that can handle all that snow!

Yes, we have a summer home near Kalispell but we're going to see if we can stand the winter weather. I'll have my kids drive the 650 vert up when the weather improves...in about 6 months

The X5M should do okay in the snow with the winter wheels/tires but the nearest dealer is 250 miles away in Spokane Washington; I hope nothing breaks!

Nice! But damn, 250 miles away! Haha, don't worry, I have faith that our beloved BMWs won't fail us. Hell, if they can handle the snowed in German alps, then they can handle Montana!

i live 10 miles from the spokane dealership but it might as well be 250 in winter, i barely make it out of my street on my e46

How is the Spokane dealer for service? I'm hoping the Xdrive and winter rubber will be adequate in MT

well i asked one of the guys how much a new clutch costs for an e46, and he asked me what an e46 is

M looks great! I had my first non-mirror M sighting on 280S last week. It was white, but I don't think it had black wheels. I do want black wheels myself!

They look slick. I can't tell in the pics but are those glossy or matte finish? A local MN shops wants $110-165 each to powder coat them. Is this a standard rate? This price does not include tire removal.

Thanks man, yeah, hard to tell in these pics but they're gloss. Here in California, I use a shop that charges only $75/wheel which is the best rate I've found. This doesn't include tire removal but I use my friend's shop for that and he hooks it up.
