Parts car thread.

Im in need of a few parts. as im sure many others on here are too.

can anyone that has any sort of parts off any e36 post up in this thread so maybe we can sorta keep track of it?

year/ engine/ ext color/ int color

mileage/pictures would be helpful too.


i know the information is out there.. but keeping a "database" for those with parts cars would be cool too..... idk

I'm wondering about the sag. For leather I have used hide glue (the idea came from covering speaker cabs back in the 80s, I used a double boiler with hot Hyde glue, now that I'm a luthier and have the repair shop, I used hide glue to repair guitars often) anyhow, last summer I used hot hide glue to repair leather that was peeling away on a 911 targa. It worked like a charm, especially where 3m didn't.
I have a very saggy box door that I think I'm going to give this a shot with.... If the exterior has actually shrunk and pulled away, perhaps soaking it In Wd40 would make it stretch and become supple again? (a trick used on guitar binding and pick guards that is a sort of plastic, when the binding pulls off and shrinks or pick guards shrink)
Anyhow.. Just some thoughts. I'll post it when I get into it, If it all works

Oh, I forgot. Looking for an avus blue drivers fender for a sedan and maybe a blower motor

I painted a tan door panel black using dupiclolor vinyl spray. just gotta clean it well and have control of the rattle can.

it comes out good and you could see maybe a tiny difference between it and the other leather bits of the car (the OEM is a tad bit glossy)

96 328is
Coupe
Black interior, have most of it still (including a good dash and decent carpet)
Lots of mechanical stuff
Glass, window regulators, A pillar covers, center vent, complete oem clutch and flywheel, clutch pedals...
electric hvac control.

I want it all gone. It's been almost 2 years now, Im sick of looking at these parts. Who wants them cheap?

On my last trip to the local pic-n-pull. I decided I'd take pics of all the BMW's there in case I needed anything else I could refer back to them. I am currently posting them to a Flickr feed which I will link to here when its done. In about 3 months or so with my internet speed.
And for Chad, there were a couple 7's and 5's and I have those too, so just let me know if you're looking for anything hard to find. I only posted the E36's for now.

No visible cracks or fractures. From a 97 328 with 216 and a badly blown HG for full disclosure, though I don't think that really makes a whit of difference.

Do you has door cards front and rear? I don't care if the pockets don't stick to it anymore, I have a permanent solution for that. But I want to make sure that the mount rails are still on the cards.

If not, do you have a black shifter surround, black e-brake handle, and OEM speakers?
