Replacing The X5 Emblem
Hello, I am trying to replace the rear "X5" emblem on the hatch. I'm not sure what the best way is to get it off without damaging anything etc. I find lots of articles on how to replace the round emblems, but not these. Can anyone help with this?
Appreciate any help! |

I've read of people using dental floss to remove the various emblems when they're debadging their BMWs.

Blow dryer first to heat up the adhesive.

yep, that is the correct method
Step one Heat soak badge Step Two Use dental floss (and two wooden dowels to save your fingers) Step Three Clean up adhesive leftovers Step Four Wax Next question is why? |

First post and you guys taught him how to remove the Roundel badge. Maybe he's one of those punk kids that go around stealing parts off of people cars.

OP said the "X5" emblem on the hatch, not the roundel specifically. Although those thieves are annoying, lets hope they're not one of them.

Thanks guys, your suggestions worked and I appreciate the help. However, I am not a "punk kid" and don't appreciate the comment actually. No worries though, I'll stay away from your Bimmer with my dental floss OK.
