The exterior is really gorgeous, and I have done so and could live with the ultra light leather....but never, never, never the light carpets! Big No No!! Carpets and door rests, arm rests must be dark. This car will look dirty inside in a matter of weeks, with or w/o kids. Yikes!!

Agree on the light interior, wouldn't be for me either, but certainly admire it. Floor mats are probably in the trunk, so as to not dirty them, but suppose owner can purchase black ones, which wouldn't detract from the look. Love the light/dark contrast of the interior.

x3 on the light interiors
If I drove <10k mi/year I'd go for one. I drive too much, and im anal/borderline OCD about my cars as it is, I'd go nuts trying to keep the armrests, carpets, seats clean and unmarked - yikes Just to give you an idea; I keep a toothbrush in my glove compartment - to detail and get rid of dust in very tight areas haha, perfection or nothing!

My take on light interiors. I have had a 535i with full beige interior, 335i with vanilla/black 2 tone, 750 now with oyster/black 2 tone. I have 2 boys under 8, I let them eat and drink in the car, but always make sure they have enough napkins, drinks sealed etc. They don't throw food around, but accidents sometimes happen, and naturally you get crumbs etc.
The full beige interior I had for 2 years. Seats looked fine, but the carpets and mats definitely showed up dirt. I never did any steam clean or something excessive, but I get the feeling that it would not be 100% cleanable - perhaps up to 90%. Definitely a lot of work. Scuff marks on the plastics could probably come out 95% with the right Lexol and elbow grease. Now to the leather. I think I could get out at least 98%, if not 100% of all marks that weren't made with anything short of a permanent marker. I just use Lexol cleaner and conditioner. New dark jeans definitely do transfer a little dye, but that comes out with Lexol. I try and avoid that with my "cape" solution (tuck a pillow case into the back of your pants like a cape). I clean the interiour about 3 times a year? I've had the 750 almost a year, and the leather looks almost as good as the day out of the factory (except for usual wear). Bottom line, if you are leasing - why not. If keeping it for a long time, at the least go 2 tone and expect a little more work (not a whole lot). If you don't mind all black, that's probably the least overhead intensive.

Had to get black floor mats! But it's hard to find a loaded sample of a B7!

A magnificent car except for those light colored (looks more ivory than white) door panels and carpets...not very practical in my opinion. Also, I have to admit that if were spending $154K on a car, I might not be willing to go that large on a B7.

I have an Amaro Brown interior and wouldn't go lighter, but as long as jeans aren't regularly worn and black floor mats are used, the interior of this B7 shouldn't be too great of a problem for the average owner.

Top-of-the-line, not sure what they were thinking with the headrests though:

Beaverton never struck me as a place to drive around in a $150k car.

really nice. I love the light interior. I've owned black interiors and I just don't like them.
