N63 Burger Tune
Installed it today myself in under 30min,
I know its only rated at 25Hp but wow. The things I hear Terry can do with our cars I cant wait for more upgrades, This is how the car should have come stock, It now wants to jump out of its shoes and the power is very noticable no more hesitation and very smooth. Anybody who has a 550 should grab this, Best HP for money I have ever seen. That on top of the coding I had done today and I am a very happy guy! I notice the Burger Tune is labelled as 'beta'. So can you download future updates that he makes and update the hardware you purchased? Are the updates free?
Oh and I thought the HP and torque improvements were about 50 each, no? Thanks,

Its 25HP and 40TQ on the 750 Terry has yet to run a dyno on the 550, He is going to do one soon. I can tell you what I think its higher then that, Its smooths out the whole band, Everything is so much quicker with no hesitation and the car is ready to jump, If demand is high future updates will be here, I am sure at a fee, but well worth it if you ask me. Drastically changes the car. Best part is it comes out very simple if you wanted to take it out and you cant even tell its installed. From what I have read Terry has been tuning these cars for 30 years and I have not seen many complaints, I put the 3000 saved over Dinan in my pocket and buy some nice wheels. When its all said and done increases will be better then Dinan.

My conern--what about warranty coverage? This thing goes boom and it's going to be like a carp that spotted a loaf of bread.
I'm considering a Dinan flash but hisitate if it would cause me problems. I have a pretty "perfect" car that works and doesn' squeak.

I would not run this beta tune without data logging a bunch of runs in different conditions and satisfying myself that the boost, timing, afr, throttle, etc are all operating as expected - it is beta because you are the testers... |

Cool - Can you post up the logs? I posted the dinan ones somewhere on here, would be interested in comparing!

Now this stuff is way beyond my level of car knowledge but isn't the 535 a N55 engine and the 550 a N63? I guess I would assume for the 535 you'd buy the n55 tuner and for the 550 you'd buy the n63 tuner. Even on the Burger Tuning web site for the N63 it says "BMW N63 Eight Cylinder Turbo Motors"

I have a 550i xdrive. Not doing any logs but I was told the beta stage is very conservative. I don't have a single complaint to this point. Can't wait for further stages. Your are always going to have good and bad about any product. But your not out their that many years selling this stuff if you don't have your a game. Not saying dinan is good or bad but I would rather keep my 3k in my pocket. This tune is a must add for the dollars

What does everyone think of the affect on the transmission that these N63 tunes might have?
I have had 3 turbo diesel pickups - 06 Dodge Cummins, 08 GMC Duramax and now 2012 Ford 6.7 L Scorpion. The previous two were tuned - the Dodge Cummins tranny was definitely hurting when I traded it in. The Allison tranny in the GMC Duramax was holding better than the Dodge but the tranny did not behave as well when the tuner was on any setting other than stock - this bugged me to no end so I simply left it in stock mode. So, there are tunes available for the Ford Scorpion but Iam leaving them alone because of the poor tranny experience I had with the Dodge and the GMC. THX BTW - I love my X5 5.0 - one of my favorite BMWs
