2014 f11

There were hints that BMW would be bringing back the F11 with LCI. Has anyone seen any indication?

Thanks

Is there any way to get this car in the United States?

Talking Don't Tease Me

I have been kicking myself for 3 years for not buying a 2010 Touring when i had the chance. I thought that maybe the LCI on the F11 might be the one chance for a US car but then decided that it was never going to happen. Maybe the next generation 5 in 2016 or 2017. Even my dealer said it would never happen and they had not heard anything.

I have not heard or read a single thing on the interwebs about BMW NA using the LCI as a chance to re-introduce the wagon to the US. ZOMG, if this is true we are sooooo in. We are now back in Germany and can get military pricing.

We are tortured daily here as we see E61 and F11s everywhere and I do mean everywhere. I stopped counting at 100 and we have only been here for 2 weeks.

Was going to pull the trigger on the MB E350 wagon as there is a freshening of that car this year (mostly on the interior).

But the remote possibility of a US F11 is making my heart race.

Mine too...

I own an E61 and absolutely love it. I really wish they offer F11s in the US, then I can have the F10/F11 combo....

Extremely difficult and expensive.

I almost bought a lightly used E61 instead of the F10 as the E61 had of course been out of production. The N54 issues, sunroof drain issues, rear suspension pump issues combined with the E60 interior and 6 speed auto scared me off.

waiting for OP to cite source for his speculation. I google "BMW 5 Wagon for USA" almost once a month looking for something new on this issue and keep seeing the same stuff from years ago. I have not read or seen anything new on this. But there is always hope.

Seems unlikely they would use the LCI as an excuse to get back into the US market and spend all the money to federalize (ie crash test etc) the F11 for the USA and Canada. Having said that, I would LOVE to be proved wrong on the issue.

They are a lovely car and I have seen them in the flesh here.

I haven't seen anything, and its unlikely. There is just not the demand for wagons in the US like there is in Europe.

Speaking of wagons, I sat in the 3 series sport wagon at the recent car show. It's tight. I think they stole rear seat room for cargo room.

And it's expensive. I think it's like $3,500 more than a comparably equipped F30.

No wonder they don't sell.

<-- Loves wagons.

Sometimes I wish I had kept my e61. I really like my f10, but I miss the wagon. Too bad it was so problematic.

You may wish to consider the 3er Touring.

You'll never see the manual in a wagon again unfortunately - I don't think they sold more than 50 E61 6MTs\year.

As much as I want to hope for an LCI introduction of the F11 to the NA market, I really, really doubt this is going to happen. I think we would have heard more intel by now from inside sources. I read a post where a fellow asked the BMW NA head (last year) if it might happen at the LCI and he flat out said "no". The cost to certify the F11 for the US market are simply too much. I don't think they would bother spending the money either if the next generation of 5 is coming in 2016 or 2017 anyways. Maybe by then, the might do it.

I would love to be wrong about this but I am not going to hold me breath.

Wow - I was reading and re-reading this article talking about bringing a limited number of M5 diesel MT Tourings to the US, and my reaction went from "Yess!! Finally!" to "they only made 9 and of course I missed out" to "wait a minute, this reads like something from The Onion..." to finally looking at the date.... April 1, 2013. Anyway, you F11 enthusiasts have probably seen this already but in case not, here is the cruel april fool's joke: http://www.leftlanenews.com/bmw-conf...ft-for-us.html
