What is the Normal operating temprature of the x3 20i

Hi all, can any one tell me what is the normal operating temprature of the X3 .. Today I found the temp gauge coming close to 120c .. Yet it didnt reach the 120 but it wend down to the dash between the 70c and 120c .. I just need to know the normal temp.

The gauge is a indicator of oil temperature, not engine coolant/water temperature. Therefore 120C is acceptable.

I my car is only 800 kms. and in service.
However, The technition mentioned that he will check the temprture issue yet it is normal ...

Hi there wanted to open new tread but so your question.
Looks like that oil temperature should be around 100deg eventhrough thay say till120deg is accetable.
Somif stays around mid gauge thats it around 100deg mark
