What is the Normal operating temprature of the x3 20i

Hi all, can any one tell me what is the normal operating temprature of the X3 .. Today I found the temp gauge coming close to 120c .. Yet it didnt reach the 120 but it wend down to the dash between the 70c and 120c .. I just need to know the normal temp.

The gauge is a indicator of oil temperature, not engine coolant/water temperature. Therefore 120°C is acceptable.

However, The technition mentioned that he will check the temprture issue yet it is normal ...
