Fog lamps
Is there any way to turn off the fog lamps if you're using the DRL's? I can't find anything in the manual. Any ideas?

My fog lamps dont turn on just because i have drl on. The fogs dont turn on unless i press the foglight button. The manual does say that if u turn the fog lights on, then the drl will turn on too. But u can run drl without fogs.

Fogs are on, if I press the fog button nothing changes.

That's not normal. I have DRL on but the fog lights don't light up unles I use the blinker or turn them on with the fog light switch.

I have to press the fog lamp button. They don't automatically come on.

The X3 use the fog light as a blinker?

No, the blinker is separate... however the fog light below the blinker comes on with the blinker to act as a cornering light (for better visibility of curbs, etc). Or at least that's the intention, I don't know that it makes much difference. If you turn the wheel without the signal, the fog light in that direction also comes on. Also, both fog lights come on when you're in reverse for the same reason.

I run my DRL all the time and the fogs are off, unless I turn them on.
I only recently realized that the left or right fogs come on individually when you are making a turn or you are signaling to turn. Again, it's only one fog light at a time. Had the car for almost two years before I noticed that. |
