"Crackling" from tailpipe, now light white smoke
Hi All,
I have a 2008 650i with 36k miles. The car sits at the airport more than I drive it  I was on the freeway last week doing about 70 and got on it (to about 90). I heard a strange "crackling" type noise from the tailpipe but didn't really think much about it as I was passing a big truck. Same thing happened again today and now there is a very faint white smoke coming from the tailpipes. Anyone run into this before? Any input is appreciated, and THANKS!! d

How does your coolant level look?

Hi, I checked the coolant level first thing this morning and it was full. I also just had it serviced by a reputable mechanic that I used previously. Do you think it is because the car sits so much? I literally put 500-600 miles on it per month.

I doubt that the mileage has anything to do with it. I typically only drive about 450 -600 miles a month and mine is fine. How is your oil level?
