Z4 Windblox Windscreen
Am looking to order the Windblox Windscreen for my Z4. My question is should I get the rubber moulding option? Pros & Cons. I will be ordering the clear straps, any other suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

I have the Windblox / Lexan / Clear straps / without any rubber molding and I am extremely pleased with it. It looks awesome! PM me if you want a picture or details. I am extremely detailed and picky about how my car looks and the add-ons I choose. This is a very high quality wind blocker. I have heard good things about the Roadster Solutions unit as well.

PM me if you want a picture. I leave mine in all of the time because there is no reason to take it out. Actually, i foget it's even there. Also, it does not rub against anything.

I've got one w/o rubber molding and am very pleased with it. No noise or rattling so far.

I have a http://www.roadstersolutions.com/ one that I got from a member of one of the Z4 Forums. One of the pieces that goes in the roll bar hoops is a bit scratched, but overall is fine. I have found that I like the car without the block, as it provides me with no benefit with the top down and the windows down (only way I use my Z4). I will figure out what I paid for it and cut you a deal if you like.

I tend to agree with you on effectiveness. For me it makes little difference in or out....but for my wife it makes the world of difference. I put it down to my 6'3" versus her 5'5" as well as her more forward seat position. I tend to get considerable breeze on the back of my neck with it in place or not. JMHO |

One thing I did was to attach those small round rubber (clear, peel/stick) protectors (like on the back of a picture frame to keep it from marring the wall) on the windscreen where it touches the roll hoops to eliminate the chance of scratching them. So far so good. Good luck.

Bought my 98 2.8 a week ago. Traded my Harley and am glad I did. My first purchase will be a windscreen. Thanks for the advice.

I sold my Harley and bought my Z4 and think I will really enjoy it. Maybe it has to do with the Carolinas weather.

Interesting...I sold my Vstrom and bought my Z4. I don't look back as I sit in heated seats and push the top up button when the rain starts...much easier to fit the golf clubs too...LOL

Pics of Windblox windscreen
Sorry guys. I was out of town and I apologize for not getting these pictures posted sooner. These are some pictures of my Windblox windscreen with the top up and top down. There are pics looking through the back window into the car and also pics from inside the car looking out. All pics have the windscreen in them.
I've heard good things about the Roadster Solutions windscreen too but I've never seen one. Right now I'm working on my LED rope lighting in the trunk, under the dash, and under the seats. Hopefully I'll be done this weekend. https://plus.google.com/photos/11020...CMSe67SNnbL4bA |

I added some pictures of the trunk lighting and the interior lighting. I am using 12V rope lighting that I bought from a company on eBay.
