Ignition key warning sound
2000. Z3. 2.3
The warning chime that sounds when leaving the key in the ignition (when the door is open) no longer works. Any suggestions on fixing this? Thanks for any help. Last edited by jcard412; 01-27-2013 at 10:46 AM.

It could be a defective or disconnected warning chime. It's mounted next to the driver's knee on the side of the center console. I seem to recall that you can reach the connector through the shifter boot hole for the manual transmission. It also does the headlight warning, so if that is inoperable, I would suspect the warning chime.
