For the experts here, does this 135i look decent?

Good evening,

Been lurking a while and I have a LOT to learn.

New to BMW and I'll probably end up with a 135i or 335i, still debating...that's a different topic.

Local small town dealer has this listed:

2011 BMW 135i Coupe

M Sport Package
7 Speed Shiftable Automatic Transmission w/Paddle Shifters

Can't tell by info if it includes premium package or not (is that available as second option when m sport package is included?)

I tested it for about 20 mins, and that was a big mistake. The DCT was slick and fast as was the auto itself!

Still under factory warranty but not certified.

Any thoughts? Looks like carfax is clean. Salesman says care came from Atlanta.

Pics are somewhat crappy.

looks too good to be true I'd check the car fax and do as much background research as possible. 28k for that is a great deal.the fact its not cpo is a red flag find out why it's not

Then it came to Oklahoma....

So what do you all think? Sounds like it was in an accident after 2 months of ownership with airbag deployment, (WAS IT TOTALLED?) and then maybe sat in a junkyard somewhere for several months or just got rebuilt, but then someone owned it for over a year and no reported issues. Also what about maintnenance. Sounds like a 'bit' of a gamble....opinions? Run?

now that sounds right that's the only way it would be priced that low with all those options it might be ok depending on who did the work what was damaged etc though the fact this isn't plainly spelled out by the dealer would make me probably not want to buy anything from them

Yep, I called the dealer and I'm pretty sure I talked to the owner as he said his son bought it from some auction and was driving it for a short while. When I asked if he has the car fax on it, he said that they don't use those and uses some other report that showed no accidents.

He did say that the car was still under BMW warranty, but didn't know what the specifics were. Don't really know if that would be true or not, but if there was frame damage, I wouldn't touch it without speaking to the people that did the work.

Unfortunately the accident compromises the warranty coverage to an unknown, but possibly significant degree since anything that goes wrong that might have been affected by an accident won't be covered by BMW's warranty. This is one of the reasons accidents are such a discouragement to potential buyers so that even if one concludes the repairs are acceptable, you have the potential of difficulty in selling the vehicle in the future (in addition to the compromised warranty coverage in the mean time).
