Get a 2005 525i or 2008 328i?
They seem to be around same price - $18K
The 525 - looks bigger?? Other than that - same car roughly with engines and transmissions? Sorry am new to BMW and once start looking everyone has a friend selling one! My first choice was 328i but now friend knows a guy has the 525i Biggest difference in them would be? Appreciate any advice and help! |

The 05 525i is ridiculously overpriced, regardless of mileage

If get 525i for for 14K - any good then?
Overall though - compared to 328i - the 525i is a better way to go? |

Well what's the mileage? Options? Condition? I probably wouldn't pay any more than $11k but then again it all depends on the mileage/options.
5 series & 3 series are 2 diff cars. It all depends on what you're comfortable driving. I personally like the comfort of a full size sedan but like I said its what you like. Last edited by E60black; 01-27-2013 at 11:49 PM. |

For me it's about comfort and less repairs. I test drove a couple of sports cars - so bumpy - didn't like - don't like a soft ride either but average would be good!
Attached picture now AND all the info I got is what my friend who knows a guy selling it is this 2005 BMW 525i 4 door sedan 124000 kilometres (is about 75K miles) Full load leather seats sun roof Automatic with brand new brakes and new rear tires Always maintained Is 2005 to old for you? I did a deal for chad my care taker and price is right 1to10 would be a 9 Did you get picture . bill Last edited by deanpeterson; 01-28-2013 at 12:29 AM. Reason: KM to mIles |

This picture, to me, seems like a 545i. The wheels are stock sport wheels painted black, shadowline trim showing that it DOES have sports package and PDC sensors which I don't think is an option on 525i. Do you have a VIN?
If its a 2005 545i with 75k...then maybe the price is right--only if you know what repairs have been done and if anything else that needs to be done. 545's demand a lot of attention at this mileage.... Also, it's such a beast of a car...why is he selling it? Last edited by E60black; 01-28-2013 at 12:39 AM. |

I will update you - its late in Canada and the seller is not around. Should know more tomorrow. I work mostly in Asia so am up!
I have only talked to guy who knows the owner so not sure if type of car is right - email says 525i though - I checked again. Not sure why selling and not sure what my friends means when he says (did a deal for the guy - did he sell it to him or the guy needed money so bought it off him or ??? The guy I know that contacted me is a bit of a car flipper - tends to find deals and flips them around - so a bit of "car sales" guy - to be trusted on a limited basis as his hand is in the deal. Appreciate your help - will buzz you when know more! |
