How many are over the "Beeemer" thing?

I've had Bimmer since 2004. Gotten looks but always for compliments. Been flipped more than a few times but its not the car it's people being people. Sorry to hear about your experience but why not get rid of it and move on if it's so much of a prob? That's a general life thing, move on.

Love my e92 to death, is maintenance cheap ? Nope. Is mpg good? Nope. Do i smile every shift? Yep!

Little finger story (OP, I am not implying on your driving style ):
A few years ago my daughter didn't drive yet, and she took trip to Montreal with some driving friends. When she came back, she said : "drivers were so rude on our way, always showed us a finger when they passed us".
I asked her to describe how did he drive. It happened that her buddy always kept on the left lane.
I had to do some defense of those rude Quebec drivers.

I have an LCI E90 (MY2010 with a 9/15/2009 build date) with an iDrive display and the temp display below it that are easily readable while wearing polarized Evo sunglasses. When I owned the ex-E93 (MY2008), those two displays were not readable with the same Evo sunglasses.

Maybe Canada editions got shorted?

I've driven in over 20 countries. I've faced Fiat Fascists in rush hour Rome, reckless Russian piaki in Poland, 5 foot wide, winding lanes in Dartmoor and lawless trunk roads in West Bengal. Known issue easily fixed by a dealer software tweak. At first I thought it was a great feature to have, and it is for parallel parking. At all other times I find it an annoyance as I'd much rather know what is at impact level rather than near my right rear wheel. I know I can shut it off, and I do.

DSX, Thanks for the heads up. The car's only been back to BMW once, for the free oil change, and we forgot to mention it. And we live 2.5 hrs from the BMW dealer, so it'll have to wait until the next free oil change. (I also did a 1,200 mi oil change myself FWIW.) Next free oil change is a few months off and we'll be sure not to forget it. My wife does not want any wheel rash on her perfect E90.

And as for the LCI E90s having the polarization issue fixed... BMW missed this one also. Not a big deal to me, though.

I understand OP but he has clearly a problem with the BMW brand.

Mine has been far from trouble-free. Stupid stuff like ignition coils and spark plugs that don't last up to the recommended change interval... in fall, cylinder#2, a month later #4 and this week #5. Nonsense repairs.

What is Russian piaki? I've driven in Poland and learned to drive in Russia, but can't figure this out. Just curious. Google didn't help.
