Price check for 2011 535i
Hey guys, I am having a hard time finding a 2011 535i with Msport package at a reasonable price. Ive been checking cars.com and auto trader for the past 2 and half weeks and just cant seem to pinpoint one in my price range. Im looking for something around the 46k price range. Is that price range just unheard of? I mean there are tons of them for sale well below the 46k mark that are loaded minus the Msport. Any help or suggestions? Or if you know of anyone or any dealership that might one? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

M Sport was like a $6k option in 2011, so they are rare.

Unless I'm mistaken, the MSport package came along in 2012. In 2011, there was the then-traditional BMW "Sport" Package. According to my brochure, that included increased top speed limiter, V Spoke wheels, Shadowline exterior trim, multi-contour front seats, and 3-spoke sport steering wheel. I've recently checked the 3 main used car sources (edmunds.com, kbb.com, nada.com) for pricing on my 2011 modestly equipped, non-sport 535i, 25K miles, and the private sale prices range from $40-$42K, dealer retail closer to $44K. I don't have dynamic suspension or packages such as driver assistance, etc.

F10 M Sports hold their values very well. I know because shopping for 2011 535i M Sports showed pricing that was similar to Dealer discounts applied on brand new 2013 M Sports.
Hopefully this doesn't change as the M Sport Packages are more accessible on the 2012 and now more-so on the 2013 models.

Msports were available in 2011, mine was an April build. If I recall correctly, they were not added to the list of orderable options until late in 2010 so there is not a full year of volume available. I think I got a decent deal and with my option set, my lease payoff is currently about $50k so that should give you a datapoint of what they should sell for with my option set and why 2011's Msports are proportionally fewer in number. If you look in this forum in the Jan 2011 timeframe, you should find a link to a PDF that shows the options available and what came in the Msport and Premium 1,2 at the time. The options included with Msport have changed over time so current feature sets don't match was it used to be.

Correct, it was not available until later in the launch.
