Mein Auto: 2011 335xi Coupe
2011 3 Series Certified Availability

Hello all,

Looking for some quick advice. My lease is ending soon on a 2011 335xi Coupe. Been very happy with the N55 and the 2011; would prefer to stay in a 2011 for Certified Purchase. I am looking to purchase used for my next vehicle; no ED this time after previous two.

How is the stock for 2011 Certified 3 series?

Have many cars returned and is there availability, or is it weak? It appears weak, but could use some other feedback.

Thanks!

Why not buy your car at the end of your lease? You're looking for the same year and model right, why wouldn't you just buy the car that you already have?

Agree. Your dealer should be able to pick it up a bit less than your lease end repurchase price, and maybe will CPO your car for you and sell it back to you.

or, if you want just buy the BMW Warranty and slap it on your car. ~$3500, same coverage as the CPO warranty. Of course the CPO costs the dealer much less.

All good points. Forget to mention.. have E92 Coupe now and need to move to Sedan.

I'm seeing poor stock. Is that the general consensus?

I have N55 now.. N54 I generally have poor opinion of. Has that improved? I'm considering opening my mind to 2010 based on availability.

Again, why do you need a CPO?

I just bought a CPO 2011 335i xDrive and they are hard to find. 2009 and 2010 are a dime a dozen.

Thanks. Agreed. Especially with any sort of sport package.

CPO not necessary, warranty I'm up for also.

I haven't looked, but consider:

The first 2011's would have been sold in late 2010, starting about 27 months ago or so. 2010's would have hit the roads starting about 39 months ago or so.

If 24 month leases are a lot less common than 36 and 39 month leases, it stands to reason there would be far fewer off-lease 2011s on the market than 2010's.

Actually, BMW had a short 2010 model year on most models, including 3ers. They started the 2011 model year in March 2010. So, 2011 CPO inventory should start picking up soon.
