? on wheels for 19x8.5 wheels
I just bought a set of 4 550 Sport (Style 172) Replica Wheels and I will be running 19x8.5 all around on my 2008 528i.
What size tire should i use to make it look stock? What tire comes on the 550? I have seen previous posts where people recommended 235/40R19 or 245/35R19 Any help would be appreciated. And i just realized my post heading makes no sense, it should be tire question for 550 wheels. lol Last edited by csnpsu; 01-30-2013 at 08:03 AM. |

245/35/19. It's basically 4 front tires from the 550i Sport. You could also go 255/35/19 and make it look fatter. Best bet is to call Tire Rack and discuss with them.
Make sure to add TPMS, else you will get error warnings in iDrive.

All E60 have them. iDrive will prompt you to reset them unless they automatically pair up.
Tire Rack sells Beru TPMS sensors for $50 each. Those will work. Comes with valve stem.

Ok great. When it prompts you to reset I can't imagine it is difficult. Just hit accept I guess? |

It asks you to reactivate TPMS, then offers a yes or no option. Scroll one click to Yes and push down on the iDrive knob. After a minute or two it resets and shows an image of the car with four green wheels. Done.
