my air and heater barely put out
i turn my air or heater on and the fan symbol only shows that its a quarter up but in fact the knob is turned all the way up? any ideas?? help

I assume you've tried turning the knob?
On mine anyways there is no "all the way up" position. When you turn it one way the light goes up (clockwise), other way it goes down (counterclockwise), but the knob never hits a physical limit. Last edited by schpenxel; 01-30-2013 at 04:15 PM. |

Did you go into iDrive and adjust the fan speeds there. Intensive is a higher fan speed and probably will help.

First only applies in automatic mode. If he's turning the knob for the fan, it should turn up the fan regardless (assuming all the vents aren't closed, lol)

yeah the fan spead goes up and down but only for the fist 1/3 of the knob.. other than that its the same spead. sucks. dont know if a fuse is out or what

Could be a sign your battery is going bad. The car is lowering the speed to conserve battery power. At least that is what my car did. Another sign was that the welcome lights stopped coming on when I turned off the alarm. Then the battery drain light started coming on. The new battery corrected everything.

nope new battery in it 4 months ago.. this has been going on for a bit

Did it happen before new battery? If so, did you register the battery after install? Failure to register the battery can cause issues related to electronics.
