Check panel question

I have the 1988 e28 and my check panel is saying something is wrong with the washer fluid. I am not out but it can not spray at all. I am not to familiar with this type of problem so I'm unsure of what i should do. Any suggestions?

It could be a bad pump or an electrical connection is loose or corroded. Check the fuse first.

Take the washer fluid tank up and check the little plug under it. Unplug it and stick a wire in to the male plug terminals to complete the circuit. Tue the key on and see if the light is out. If it is the sensor is bad. I have used ones for sale. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/3588180215.html
