USB Software Update - help

All, I checked to see if my car had an eligible software update which it did, UPD05004. I have formatted my flash drive to FAT-32, stick it in the USB plug in the center console (I have a 2013 740Li X) go to software update > USB and I keep getting the message "Incompatible software on USB device. More info: www.bmw.com/update"

Anyone else experience this, very frustrated at this point.

Current s/w versions:
TN-001.020.022
MN-001.020.022

Did you try the USB slot in the glove compartment?
That is the usual goto slot for updates or importing music into the computer/hard drive.

The new ones only have the USB in the armrest.

My apologies on that. I saw quick pic of 2013 manual showing both slots. Didn't read to see it is based on car options as to whether it is there or not.

I've only updated maps in my '09 via USB. On first try it didn't recognize the update. Once I cleared software pre-loaded on flash drive it recognized the update and went well.
