State Inspection

Are annual state inspections free under the full maintenance program?

For some reason I don't recall paying for one last year.

If not covered, I wonder if it was something my selling dealer provided free of charge; does that sound possible?

Unfortunately, I forgot mine expires at the end of this month (tomorrow).

Not covered.
In fact, many dealers no longer do state inspections.
Here in NJ, new cars are exempt for 5 years.
Not sure what NY law is currently.

Thanks, and once every year here in NY.

Annoying to constantly make sure everything lines up!

I was under the impression that the government didn't make money from inspections - the inspectors do. Am I wrong?

In NY, the fee is set so low that basically nobody makes money, but the operator is almost compensated for his time.
