6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

Reader / Coder
Well I bought a used Mini PC and dedicated it to my 6er for maintenance and coding. Ive wiped it and loaded a fresh copy of Windows XP SP3 along with the software and the cable I purchased off eBay.
For now all I want to do is read out my 6er. Any last minute words of wisdom......

I would make a backup of all of the modules of your car, for safe keeping. Take things slow, & read a lot of info on what you are about to do. You can usually go in to several different layers of setup menus, before you get a warning. 1st learn to do some different levels of diagnostics, learning your way around the software. It will take you quite sometime to think you have the software figured out, but it was written by German engineers!
Good Luck! |
