Lease Assumption: 2012 335is Coupe Le Mans Blue, manual, Seattle!
Update 1/30: I'm increasing the incentive by offering to compensate for my 4000 overage miles. I will provide one of two options based on buyer's preference:
A) Purchase additional 4000 miles @ $0.16/mile prior to lease transfer so you can drive 10k miles/yr until lease ends in Feb/2015. OR B) Provide another $500 incentive (total of $4000) This is an amazing deal in my humble opinion, so I hope someone gets to it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking to transfer the lease on my 2012 335is Le Mans Blue that currently has 14092 miles. Never tracked, absolutely mint condition, garage kept. Unfortunately I have to part with this vehicle; I need to pay for my brother's college tuition. There is one small rock chip on the driver's side of the windshield. It's right above where the VIN is. You can't see it from the inside. I will attach a picture of it. Let's get to the details: Location: Seattle, WA 2012 BMW 335is Coupe Manual Transmission Le Mans Blue Metallic Saddle Brown Dakota Leather Premium Package 19" 313 style wheels anti-theft alarm system Comfort access keyless entry Moonroof Automatic climate control Ambience lighting Navigation System Voice-command BMW assist with bluetooth Harman Kardon Surround sound Ipod and USB adapter Real time traffic info Sports Suspension MSRP: 60,070 Term: 36 Months Contract End Date: 2/3/2015 Annual mileage: 10000/yr Excess charge per mile: $0.20 Residual: 37,844.10 The sale price was 800 below invoice Monthly Lease Payment: 612.16 + tax (My total in Seattle is 672.15) Security Deposit: $4900 (needed to lower the money factor) BMW Lease Transfer Fee: $500 (I will cover the transfer fee) Buyer's Responsibility: I'm offering a $3500 incentive to offset the $4900 security deposit. Also, I will cover the BMW lease transfer fee. So the buyer's responsibility would be: 612.16/month + tax $1400 (4900 from security deposit minus 3500 incentive) Feel free to ask me any questions! I'm going to say this is a good deal, with one caveat.... You are about 4000 miles ahead of schedule on usage, so only 16K miles left for the next two years?
If that fits someone's driving profile, this is a really good deal..

@kyfdx
Yeah, I had to do some emergency trips to Portland.. boy do the miles add up quickly. On that note, I'm also going to update the incentive by compensating for my 4000 overage miles to make this lease assumption more appealing. |

That's a great deal... someone in the PNW should snap it up...
I know what you mean about mileage... My wife used to do about 16K/yr with a 42 mile R/T commute... She started working from home, so we got 12K/yr on the last lease, and she is barely under.. She should be doing about 7K/yr...

If my truck sells in the next month or so I am going to highly consider this car. I work 1.7 miles from home so the driving profile might fit me alright. I have driven 4800 in the past 7 months including a round trip to the bay area from LA. Even if I put 1,100 on it driving it back I'd likely be close to OK.
Let me make sure I understand...at deal closing, the buyer pays $1,400 and you assign them your security deposits, meaning at lease end they'd get $4,900 returned from BMWFS assuming no extra damages or mileage (thus ending up $3,500 ahead which is your incentive). Is that how it works? I transferred a lease but it didn't involve security deposits... Question #2, if the buyer took your extra $500 incentive, could the extra miles be purchased by the buyer later on? Or does transferring somehow take extra mileage purchase off the table so the choice must be made now? |

@armando95
Yes. At deal closing, the buyer will pay $1400. I will transfer the lease (I will cover the $500 fee), and since the lease has the $4900 security deposit assigned, the buyer will receive the entire deposit when he/she returns the vehicle at lease end. And for your question#2, yes the buyer can purchase later on. As the seller I'm giving the buyer the choice because in your case, you know almost for certain that you can drive within the 30k miles total at lease end. If i purchase the miles for you upfront (incentive option A), you might not need the extra purchased miles and you get nothing in return. If i give you $500 cash up front (incentive option B), you win upfront. Once the lease transfer is complete, you can also purchase your own additional miles. If you purchase additional miles prior to last 6 months of lease, you get 20% off the $0.20/mile rate -- changing it to $0.16/mile. In the last 6 months, it will cost $0.20/mile. I hope that clarified your questions! This is an absolutely stunning car with a beautiful exhaust note. With the $4900 you'll get back at the end of lease, it's kind of like driving this car free for the last 6-7 months. ![]() I really want to help my brother out with his tuition and this will really help! |

It's never seen the sun. Dash/leather should be in great shape.

Is the windshield chip repaired? Or did you not have it repaired for some reason? I know they don't need access to the back side, I've seen them do a resin repair from the outside that fills it in and helps to prevent a crack forming and reduce how visible it is. |

@armando95
Sorry for the late response.. i didn't get an email notification for some reason. The windshield chip hasn't been repaired yet because I've been traveling for work for the last 2 months. I showed the rock chip to a windshield repair specialist and verified that the rock chip won't become any bigger. I've measured the rock chip the day it occurred and verified also that it hasn't increased in size. By the way, I see that your location is LA. I'm in seattle. Just making sure you're aware of where I'm located. |

I know you're in Seattle. I was considering driving it down or having it shipped. Not sure how I'd feel about assuming it without seeing it, I'm still considering my options. There's a local 535i lease I want which I'm also considering...just have to figure out my timing and what I really want... Thanks. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Bimmer App |

@armando95
What if I told you I can cover a one-way flight? If you want to come see it and drive it down, I can cover the flight up here. If you want to just come here to see it first, you'd have to buy the flight back to LA. OR if you decide ship the vehicle, I can compensate for a one-way flight's equivalent value in dollars, which would be about $100. I understand your concerns about assuming without seeing it, completely. But I think you're going to fall in love with the exhaust note of the 335is and how beautiful this car is.. If there's anything I can do to help you get a better feeling about this car, let me know. I can take more pictures the interior and exterior, or whatever you want to see with the car. I can take more pictures of the rock chip if you're concerned. Since this is a bmw lease, bmw covers everything except tires and wear/tear. This car is in flawless condition (other than that rock chip). This car's never seen the harsh sunlight.. the leather and the dash are in perfect condition. The backseats have never been used. I've also driven less than 5 miles/week. It's at about 144xx right now. Hope this helps you sway over to this vehicle

Same car here in DC, with DCT
I have the same car here in the DC area for assumption with 22k miles and 1 year or so left. My payment is 588 tax included. Make me an offer for assumption and its yours.

What's the price if you want to purchase instead of assuming the lease?
